About GumiPoni
Hey guys!
When I buy artwork from people, I really like to know who they are and what they're about, too!
What I'd like you to know about my art is that I make it all myself in my little studio. Everything from the sculptures, the molds, the original drawings and paintings are all created by my enormous woman hands! I'm really proud of that.
I went to the Cleveland Institute of Art for industrial design in 2008. After doing an internship at Fischer-Price, I discovered my love for toy design and focused my graduate thesis entirely on toys and play. Upon graduating, I started painting signs as a way to make extra cash and that evolved into making figurines. From there, I just never stopped and this is now my full-time gig!
I live with a dog named Potato, a cat named JuiceBox, and a person named Patrick. I enjoy cooking fajitas and waffles for my friends and family and my favorite tv is the trashiest that exists. Give me rich, crying divorcés!
I love what I get to do so much! I enjoy the work. I enjoy interacting with all of you!
I work in a variety of mediums to bring the Gumi characters to life, including resin and pewter. I also paint original paintings in watercolor and acrylic from time to time!
